Our pets

A card for every pet in the family: photos, dates, weight over time and memories, and a gentle memorial day for the ones who are no longer with us.

The dog, the cat, the bird or any other friend of the family gets a card of its own: a photo gallery, details, birthday and adoption dates, and a place to remember. Private to the family, and you choose what to share.

A card for every pet

A name, a kind (dog, cat, bird, fish, rabbit, hamster, reptile, horse or a free kind), breed, male or female, size, color and chip number
A date of birth, even "about" when only the year is known, and an adoption day: the day it joined the family
A full photo gallery with a main photo and captions
Whose pet it is: the whole family’s, or one of the household

Weight and memories

Weight over time on a scale, with a date on every measuring, useful for a puppy or a dog on a diet
A free description: character, habits and stories
The vaccination booklet, the license and other documents are kept in the family’s document folders
Export and backup like the rest of the site

When a pet passes away

The date and place and a short description, in a respectful view ("forever in our hearts")
A yearly memorial day, which can be turned off
The card stays, and the pet moves to the end of the list
"Rehomed" is possible too, without notifications

Connected to the whole site

Birthday, adoption day and memorial day appear on the dates page and send a notification, and each can be turned off for each pet
In the family tree a pet can be shown as a small node next to its owner, without changing the tree’s structure
Private to the family by default, with one switch for each pet to share with the shared tree (the weight is always private)
The site-wide search finds pets too

Who can do what: The family admin decides for each member whether they can view or edit Our pets, or have no access to it. The feature can also be switched off for the whole family.
