Adding a date

A title, a start date, and an optional end date for a multi-day event such as a vacation or a move; the end date can be added, changed and cleared later
Categories: birthday, anniversary, vacation, purchase, moving, contracts, other, and you can add your own
"Whose is it": a family member or "shared"
Yearly, or one-time (one-time shows how long ago it was, and reminds you the year after); vacations and moves default to one-time
A note and a photo for each date

Reminders

A reminder on the day itself, and an extra reminder a chosen number of days before
Mute a specific date without deleting it
A daily morning message to everyone who has the feature, according to their personal preferences
A widget on the home page with the next 1 to 5 dates, chosen per device

Tasks for the date

Link an existing task list to a date, or create a new list right from the date
See how many tasks are left without leaving the dates page, and tick them off from the date itself
On the home page, next to a list tied to a date, you see the date and how many days are left

Guests and attendance

Add guests from the family tree or by hand, with a phone number and the number of seats
Each guest gets a personal link to answer: yes, maybe or no, and how many people are coming; send it on WhatsApp or copy it
An attendance board: how many confirmed, how many have not answered, and how many people are coming in total
When a guest answers, the family members who manage the dates get a notification
Quick select by family relation: descendants of a person, siblings and their families, cousins, or everyone living in the tree

To your calendar

A button that adds the date to Google Calendar, with the note and the open tasks in the description
A calendar file to download, for any other calendar
No sign-in and no permissions on your Google account: a prepared event opens and you only confirm it

From the tree and the calendar

Birthdays, weddings, divorces and memorials of people you marked with the bell in the tree appear automatically, with no copying
The close family (whoever you marked as "this is me" in the tree, their partners and children) comes in by itself, with no bell, and in the settings you can widen it to parents, siblings and grandchildren, for example when grandparents want to be updated
A date you entered by hand does not appear twice, and if a date you typed already appears from the tree you get a warning before saving
Milestones of the children and the special days of the family pets appear in their own sections
Tapping a date from the tree opens the person in the tree

Delete with an option to undo

Who can do what: The family admin decides for each member whether they can view or edit Dates and reminders, or have no access to it. The feature can also be switched off for the whole family.
