Terms of use

Accepting the terms
Using 1family.Home (the "Site") means you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
What the Site offers
The Site is a private space for a family: a family tree and life stories, photos, dates, lists, a shared drawing board, recipes, poems, articles, documents, a budget, events, conversations, milestones and family pets. Each family chooses which parts to turn on, and which of its members can view or edit each part. The Site is provided as it is, and can change over time.
Account, family and roles
Sign-in is with a Google account. The account is personal, and you are responsible for what is done through it.
Whoever creates a family is its owner. Owners and admins decide who is a member of the family and what each member may view or edit. A person removed from the family loses access to its content.
Linking families to a shared tree happens only with the approval of both families. People in a shared tree are visible to all members of the linked families who have access to the tree.
Content you add and responsibility for information about others
The content you add (details about people in the tree, photos, stories, documents and more) stays yours. You grant us only the license needed to store it and show it to family members as you set it up.
A family tree includes information about other people, living and deceased. You declare that you have the right to add the information and photos, and that you will honor a person’s request to remove or correct information about them. Do not add sensitive information about others (for example a medical condition) without their consent.
Do not upload content that is offensive, infringes copyright or privacy, is illegal, or is meant to harass. We may remove such content and suspend an account that breaks the terms.
Prohibited use
You may not try to access families you are not a member of, bypass permissions, harm the operation of the Site, scan it automatically, or use it for commercial purposes without permission.
Sharing by link
Some items (a poem, a recipe, an article) can be shared with a public link, and a document or a documents folder with a temporary 24-hour link. A guest of an event gets a personal link for answering only. Anyone who holds the link can see the item, so share it only with the people you want. You can cancel a public link at any time.
Third-party services
The Site relies on services such as Google (sign-in, and optionally Gmail to read invoices and Drive to pick files) and on Supabase for storage. They are subject to their own terms. Scanning invoices and reading a recipe from a photo with AI pass the content to the provider the family chose (Anthropic or OpenAI), and only when a family entered a key and started the action. The key and the payment for the usage are the family’s own, and the family admin is responsible for using it according to the provider’s terms.
Availability and backup
We work to keep the Site available and the information safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation or storage forever. We recommend keeping a copy of important information. You can export the family tree to a file.
Plans and payment
The Site is offered with a free Free plan and a paid Pro plan, billed monthly or yearly, as shown on the pricing page. A subscription covers one family and is paid by the family owner, and every member of the family benefits.
During the launch period the service is provided free of charge to everyone. We will announce it in advance, on the Site, before billing starts, and we will not charge you unless you chose a paid plan.
A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period. Payment is processed by an external company that handles billing and taxes, and we do not store your card details. The refund policy is on the refund policy page, and current prices are on the pricing page, and a price change will be announced in advance.
If a subscription ends, no data is deleted: you can keep viewing, downloading and exporting everything, and adding new files beyond the Free allowance stops after a 30-day grace period.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We will not be liable for indirect or consequential damage, or for loss of data, beyond what the law does not allow to be limited. Our total liability is limited, to the extent the law allows, to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event, and for a free service it is limited to a symbolic amount.
Ending and changes
You can stop using the Site and ask for your account and data to be deleted at any time, as described in the privacy policy. We may update the terms from time to time; a material change will be published on the Site, and continued use means you accept it.
You can write to us at 1familyhomeapp@gmail.com, or to your family’s admin.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Israeli law. The competent courts in the Tel Aviv district have exclusive jurisdiction. The Hebrew version of these terms is the binding one if the two versions differ.
